What is included with the domain?

With every domain name purchase, OY! Domains supports you through the entire buying and transfer process.

Can I lease the use of a domain name?

Which domain registrar should I use?

When it comes to domain registrars, it is usually up to you. In most cases, we are able to transfer the domain to your preferred registrar.

There maybe times were you may need to register an account with a certain registrar e.g. due to an active domain lock. But, we will let you know if this situation applies with your name.

Can I make an offer on a domain?

All reasonable offers on any of the domains listed on OY! Domains will be considered. Please Contact Us with any offers or questions.

What other costs are associated with owning a domain name?

The other costs associated with owning a domain name is dependent on how you wish to use the domain name. Typical costs can include:
  • Renewal fee – Cost to renew the domain for 1 or more years
  • Web hosting – The monthly/ yearly cost to purchase web hosting to host one or more domain names/ websites
  • Additional extras such as SSL certificates, merchant fees etc to offer ecommerce solutions
  • Speciality services such as SEO solutions to develop and improve your online visibility and branding

How is payment made?

OY! Domains uses trusted Escrow services, Escrow.com and Dan.com to collect payment and complete each domain name transaction. Can I make payments in instalments?

Unless a special arrangement is made, domain purchases must be paid in full through the Escrow service. If you wish to purchase a domain name through a landing page on Dan.com, purchasing through instalments maybe available. Please Contact Us for more information.

How long does it take to transfer a domain?

Once, payment has been confirmed by the Escrow service, we will begin the transfer process.

Depending on the domain extension and registrar, the typical transfer process will take between 1-7 days. However, if the domain is transferred through a Domain Push between accounts within the same registrar, this process could be completed within a matter of minutes.

OY! Domains will be there for you every step of the way to guide you through the entire process.

Can I cancel my order?

You may request an order cancellation under the following circumstances:
  • If the cancellation request is received and acknowledged within 3 days from the date, in which sales terms were agreed
  • The Escrow service has not been started
  • The domain name has not been unlocked in preparation of the transfer
  • The domain is not in the process of being transferred or has been transferred

OY! Domains will review each order cancellation request on an individual basis.

What is your refund policy?

Payment for a domain name only takes place once an Escrow service has started. Once, the domain has been transferred or is in the process of being transferred, OY! Domains will not offer a refund. Any agreed refund requests may be subject to Administrative or Escrow service fees.
